This guide will help you join, navigate, and actively participate in the AVID community—a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices around ambient voice technology in the NHS.
This is your space to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the future of AVT in healthcare.
Go to https://ambientvoice.thiscovery.org and click Sign up - the Join the network screen will pop up.
Fill in your email and then click “Register”.Once your sign-up email is received, click the link in the email to complete registration. This will take you to the community registration form.
Fill this in with:
Your chosen username (you can use firstname.lastname for this)
A secure password
Your name, role and organisation
Your interests in relation to ambient voice technology
Your location
What happens next: A community administrator reviews your details. You'll get an email when your account is ready. This may take a day or so - look out for the welcome email!
When you get your approval email, click the link to sign in with your email and password.

You can find “My profile” by clicking the icon in the top right hand corner of the screen (the icon will change if you add an image to your profile).
Check your profile and make sure your registration information is all correct. You can also change your username, email and password from here. Account deletion is also managed from this menu.

A Space is a dedicated area where members can come together around a shared topic, project, or interest. It’s where you’ll be able to engage.
Explore the available spaces by clicking ‘SPACES’ at the top of your screen on a desktop or at the bottom on a mobile. Some spaces are for specific audiences, so we’ll ask a few quick questions to help you join a space that meets your needs. The first time you visit a space, you may be asked to read and accept a Code of Conduct aimed at keeping the community safe for everyone.

Are you a member of staff involved in the AVT change programme at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH)? Join this space to stay aligned, share updates, provide feedback, and collaborate.
Tip: Your dashboard offers an integrated live feed of content from the AVID community and all the spaces you're a member of, or you can head directly into the Spaces section to dive deeper into discussions, resources, and updates.

Get regular summaries instead of individual notifications.
Never: No email summaries
Daily: One summary each day
Weekly: One summary each week
Tip: Weekly summaries work well for staying informed without being overwhelmed.
